Pile Driving Method / Soil Stabilisation

Since the introduction of driven piles made of ductile cast iron, pile driving technology has become an important sector of our company through GPS. The toughness and the corrosion resistance of the tubing can be used as and ideal deep-foundation element through driving methods adapted accordingly. Over the years, this branch has been continuously further developed and expanded. In addition to the construction of various driven deep-foundation systems we also offer soil stabilisation systems.

A main issue of improvement is the data logging and evaluation of the load capacity. Especially invented to test HLV® piles we applicated the Pile Hay-Proof System (HPS) to patent. This economical system allows to measure piletoe preassure and the shaftfriction separately. This system will be used by GPS for drilled micropiles in the future.

Our service offer:

Steel piles – System HLV®
Steel piles are either used as grouted or ungrouted bearing or tension piles with a diameter from 114.3 to 177.0 mm. Their load capacity is up to 1,400 kN. They can be driven either vertically or inclined with a depth of up to 55 m.

Ductile piles – System HLV®
Ductile piles are either used as grouted or ungrouted bearing or tension piles with a diameter from 118 to 170 mm. Their load capacity is up to 1,400 kN. They can be driven either vertically or inclined with a depth of up to 55 m.

Driven cast-in-place concrete piles – System Zeissl
Driven cast-in-place concrete piles are produced in diameters of 40, 50 or 60 cm and preferably used in contaminated soil up to a depth of 30 m. In this piling system, there is no excavated material. The driving of the pile causes a displacement of the soil which in turn causes a significant and additional soil stabilisation.

Prefabricated piles
Prefabricated piles made of spun concrete are manufactured in diameters of 25, 35 or 45 cm up to a depth of 50 m.

Beam-type retaining wall
A driven beam-type retaining wall with HEB 160 to 240 is anchored or not and constructed with wood or shotcrete infill.

Grouted foundation piles – System GPS
Grouted foundation piles are manufactured with a diameter from 200 to 300 mm up to a depth of 11 m. Their load capacity is up to 600 kN.

Noise barrier foundations
Noise barrier foundations consist of driven steel pipes with a diameter of up to 650 mm.

HLV® energy pile
The basic idea of energy pile technology is to gain heat from the subsoil (geothermal energy) through the required foundation and to make it available for heating of a building through suitable systems. By transferring excessive heat to the subsoil this principle can be reversed and used for cooling. The soil and the soil water can function as a seasonal storage system for cooling and heating energy.
