In 2003, FST Tirol (formerly Fa. Fels- und Sprengtechnik of Mayreder) was taken over by Grund- Pfahl und Sonderbau and Kematen was established as branch office of GPS. This expanded the range of foundation engineering services already provided by GPS by another critical branch, construction in high-alpine terrain. With our team we offer:

• Complex excavation pit solutions
• Foundations with micro piles and/or HLV piles
• Construction of rock-fall refuge structures
• Wire and avalanche barriers (all common systems)
• Blasting and rock clearance
• Application of safety nets on rock faces
• Anchorage and/or soil nailing
• Combined package solutions for safety structures

in demanding and impassable terrain. A particular challenge is logistics and work preparation for construction sites that often are hard to access and can be reached only by helicopter.
